The prerequisite for accommodation and access to the Talent House building is:

To be a researcher and/or highly qualified person who is coming or has just arrived in San Sebastian to carry out their research work in one of the R&D&I centres and/or agents in Donostia-San Sebastian.

Access to the Talent House building will be granted to those people who, being researchers, are linked to an R&D&I Agent in Donostia-San Sebastian, either as a contracted worker or as a visitor.

Applications for accommodation, as well as the rest of the services offered by the Talent House project, must be ratified by the centre and/or R+D+i agent in the city where they are going to carry out their activity, informing them of the employment contract to be formalised on the arrival of the applicant or, failing this, a certificate accrediting the work they are going to carry out in the said centre.

Based on this basic requirement, priority will be given in the following order:

  • Highly qualified researchers (PhDs as a minimum level).
  • Local talent returning to work in Donostia. Local talent is considered to be Gipuzkoan researchers who are carrying out their research work abroad and in the rest of Spain.
  • Researchers from abroad and the rest of Spain.
  • Researchers linked to any of the city's R+D+i agents with which FSS has signed a collaboration agreement.

In addition, all those people residing in Talent House will undertake to propose and participate in at least one Knowledge Dissemination activity in collaboration with Fomento de San Sebastián.

Request and allocation of accommodation

Places will be allocated according to the order of arrival and the evaluation of the application based on the aforementioned requirements.

Fomento will be in charge of checking the link between the researcher and the city's R&D&I Agent. The person interested in accommodation may request the type of stay desired (family, flat, studio, ...).

The allocation of flats will be made taking into account the best organisation, distribution and use of the establishment for the greatest number of residents, taking into account the availability of Talent House. The accommodation service may be extended to other highly qualified profiles that can be located in the city for a shorter period of time.

Conditions of use of facilities

  • In general, the maximum period of stay at Talent House will be 12 months.
  • In general, the minimum period of stay at Talent House will be 2 weeks.
  • The stay will be formalised by means of a temporary use contract document.
  • There is an internal regulation that will be contractual with the resident. The accumulation of misdemeanours may lead to expulsion.
